Born in 1967* Caroline tells stories with her paintings and she finds inspiration in her everyday life. She hails from the Cape and felt an urge to sketch and paint from a young age as she watched her father creating works of art that he never sold.
She started her career in admin and business, raised three daughters and plodded on until she took an impulsive decision to resign and to follow her dream in 2009. With the support of her family she started exploring art in her own way and with very little training. She experimented with different mediums but success and fulfillment came when she discovered the beautiful possibilities of water color. Every painting captures a moment in time and is filled with underlying emotions of nostalgia or hope, but also sadness and even fear.
