Against the backdrop of houses and temples of different faiths, which bear witness to the long history of this corner of the earth, a windmill rises on the horizon, giving the place a special charm and character.
However, despite the beauty and tranquility of the moment, Boyko's paintings always contain profound meaning and symbolism. The man with the horse visible in the painting adds an element of mystery and additional questions to the narrative. Perhaps, he is a farmer who, despite the difficult times, continues to care for his farm and believes in a brighter future. Or, it could be a symbol of the resilience and steadfastness of the people, who, despite trials, preserve their identity and spiritual wealth.
"Evening" by Petro Boyko is a work of art that prompts the viewer to contemplate the value of the world and the ability of humans to overcome the challenges of time. This painting transports us to the world of a Ukrainian town, where even in difficult times, the spirit of national history and culture thrives.
