Peter Majkut

Peter Majkut (37) was born in Smižany (Slovakia). He is a painter, graphic artist and photographer. Peter studied at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. Inherited art expressions inherited from academic painter Jozef Majkut, who was his father's uncle. Landscape, but also documentary, or surrealistic photography, is his favorite themes on which he is constantly working and looking for other possibilities of self-realization. His photo-collages have a noticeable strong dramatic-light and contrasting atmosphere. He expresses himself in painting, uses elements of surrealism. He is currently engaged in abstract and expressive painting with elements of surrealism. He had his last author's exhibition in Prague .He is also active in photography, where he has won several awards. He currently lives and works in Košice (Slovakia)
