Peter Balog is a contemporary Slovak painter. His formal training in painting commenced at the Zakarpattia Academy of Art in Uzhgorod, Ukraine, where he honed his skills in classical painting techniques under the guidance of the old masters. Subsequently, Balog earned his bachelor's degree from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Art.
At the core of Peter Balog's artistic practice lies a deep appreciation for classical painting, evident in his meticulous study of traditional oil painting techniques employed by the old masters. His distinctive approach involves expressing himself through thick layers of paint and nuanced glazes.
