Paula Berteotti

Hello everyone, I´m Paula Berteotti I´m writing this essay in order to introduce myself. Born in Angola and raised in Portugal I have always been passionate about drawing, painting and sculpting. Since my early age that I was recognized a special talent for arts. So, in order to develop this talent I decided to take painting lessons to develop and improve my qualities. In a nutshell, my work can be defined as a mental representation of a journey which started at my childhood in Africa till now. Every board I paint is one piece of that long journey. Every time I start painting I never cannot predict how it will end - this makes this work so exciting and challenging! I love be free when using my creativity to produce authentic and genuine arts being driven by my imagination. The arts that I produce are a mix between Angolan and Portuguese cultures. Cause of this I consider that my arts represent both Angola and Portugal. -

Diogo Braga 2012- Individual exhibition integrated in the festivities of the 37th anniversary of Independence, promoted by Embassy of Angola in Lisbon. 2014- Collective exhibition integrated in Day festivities of the Angolan Peace, organized by the Consulate Angola in Porto, the Palácio da Bolsa. 2014- Collective exhibition in Cividade Parish Council, Braga 2014- Collective exhibition at Galeria Vieira Portuense with the theme "Paint the Port II" 2015- Collective exhibition in Barcelos Municipal Library the theme "Women's Day" 2015- Individual Exhibition at the Municipal Library of Barcelos 2015- Collective exhibition at the Institute of Design of Guimarães, under the theme "Art for Africa" 2016- Collective, integrated exposure of Africa, in Guimarães parish council 2016- Individual exhibition integrated in the African International Fair "Network for Africa", in Exponor, Oporto 2016- Author of the book cover "Unveiling the Innocence: Childhood and violence in three works of literature Angola with Luandino Vieira texts, Pepetela and Ondjaki, written by Dr. Roberta Guimarães Franco edited in Brazil.
