I was introduced to wood carving in the early 1980s during an internship in Grésivaudan.
It was when I retired that I really began to devote energy in handling the tools of the sculptor.
I benefit from the teaching of a remarkable wood craftsman who operates within the framework of the Workshops and Conservatory of the Best Workers of France in Saint-Etienne. I believe I have made good progress since then using demanding craft techniques.
My sculpted works are all unique pieces that currently remain in my collection. I present one or two of them every year during the events organized by the M.O.F. : Heritage Days, Open Days, Economic Fair of Saint-Etienne on several occasions.
More recently, I also undertook an initiation to the activity of modeling by regularly participating in a workshop bringing together several creators.
Some modelings were presented during Open House operations from the Atelier de la Création in Saint-Etienne.
