Pascale Fournier née en 1951 aux États-Unis. Après des études d’histoire et archéologie à l'université de Paris X, elle suit des cours de théâtre, de scénographie, de stylisme, d’art plastique et de photographie. Parallèlement à son travail de costumière marqué par les oeuvres de Yasmina Reza et par sa collaboration avec le metteur en scène Patrice Kerbrat à l’Opéra de Paris, la Comédie française et au théâtre des Champs -Élysées, elle poursuit depuis la fin des années 80 une carrière de peintre et de sculpteur, exposant son travail en France et à l’étranger. La série « Envols » s'inscrit dans une réflexion générale de l'artiste autour de la multiplicité et la complexité des caractères humains. Souvent présentés en familles, groupes ou colonies colorées, les « Envols » représentent le théâtre de nos sociétés modernes avec un mimétisme aux formes souples, douces et parfois monumentales. Pascale Fournier exprime avec force une infinie diversité d'expressions humaines, posant perpétuellement la question de la place de l'individu dans le groupe, et plus loin, dans la société contemporaine. Les « Envols » sont réalisés en résine par l'atelier Haliagon et sont adaptés à une exposition extérieure aussi bien qu'intérieure. * Dernière actualité de l'artiste : Pascale Fournier vient d'être sélectionnée par le jury du Summit Public Art pour exposer plusieurs mois dans la ville de Summit, état du New Jersey.
