I am a contemporary painter born in 1964 in Lyon. Living in Isère for almost 50 years, I have always had a passion for drawing, an ability that has accompanied me throughout my career as a carpenter.

However, in 2012, a health problem disrupted my career and forced me to put an end to my activity. During three years of convalescence, I found my pencils and immersed myself in art by creating landscapes and animal portraits. This period is also marked by a deep immersion in the artistic universe: I watch hundreds of videos of painters and designers, visit museums and refine my knowledge of modern techniques.

In 2015, painting naturally became obvious. Inspired by Picasso, Van Gogh or Kandinsky, I explore the compartmentalization of colors, and under the influence of William Turner plays with light and reliefs. I also draw my inspiration from stained glass and mosaic, arts which nourish my approach to animal portraiture. My style is distinguished by strong black outlines and vibrant colors, seeking to capture the emotion and power of the animals that I particularly like.

Today, I paint according to my desires, favoring expressive and modern animal portraits.
