Mes compositions abstraites sont basées en grande partie sur les éléments, comme l'eau, celle de l'océan du littoral de mon enfance, la Charente-Maritime, des terres et des vignes, mais aussi sur mon ressenti de la ville de Royan, quasi entièrement détruite pendant la guerre en 1945 et reconstruite de béton dans une inspiration art déco et purisme, comme celui de Le Corbusier. Les façades blanches sont ponctuées de couleurs tendres qui introduisent l'épopée des années 60 et l'ère Pop, les stores vénitiens blancs aux fenêtres ajoutent à ces lignes d'horizon, laissant libre cours à l'imagination de ce qui s'y passe derrière et de la lumière qu'ils filtrent. Peut-être est-ce un peu de nostalgie de mon enfance que je transcris dans mes compositions.
