Dall’Aviosuperficie di Valeggio sul Mincio mi servivano sette minuti per arrivare a Peschiera. L’acqua del Garda, come al solito quando il cielo è sereno, era color verde smeraldo. Mille “piedi” la quota; al di sotto, la splendida fortificazione Veneziana circondata dai canali che rendono la cittadina quasi un’isola. Eseguo i controlli di rito prima di portare il motore al minimo e “spiralare“, con una virata dolce e continua, sino ad un metro dall’acqua.
Così, a volo radente, volevo ammarare a fianco della Rocca nel Golfo di Garda, contemplare lo scenario e annusare l’aria alla ricerca di tracce di calicantus che mi avrebbero confermato la fine dell’inverno. Però, al “traverso“ di Bardolino, avevo iniziato a vedere strane macchie scure sulla riva che rovinavano l’armonia conosciuta. Nuovi cantieri? Teloni protettivi? Mano a mano che mi avvicinavo riuscivo a scorgere l’origine della bruttura, erano ombrelloni neri di forma quadrata. Fortunatamente quindici giorni dopo venivano sostituiti con altri variopinti.

He obtained his artistic maturity in Verona with top marks while experimenting with the use of polyester resins and fibreglass in modelling.
With these materials, at the beginning of the 1970s, he realised the luminous furnishing prototypes ‘La Foresta’ – ‘La Quercia’ – ‘The Glass Peac’ and others of considerable impact and originality.
He works in the world of restoration with considerable success, patenting equipment and technologies that will be used on monuments and buildings of considerable value and prestige. Some of the most significant examples include: the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, the Palazzo Del Quirinale in Rome, the Uffizzi in Florence, the Palazzo Papadopoli in Venice, as well as countless interventions in churches throughout Italy and Spain.
Among his many collaborations with architects and designers throughout Italy, those with Libero Cecchini and Tobia Scarpa will remain fundamental, extremely formative and significant.
At the beginning of the new millennium, the author’s curiosity and desire to deepen his understanding of social dynamics encouraged him to attend the University of Urbino until he graduated in Sociology with a thesis on Bourdieu’s work ‘La Distinction’: Social Critique of Taste.
In 2017 he donated the complete restoration of Juliet’s Balcony to the City of Verona as a sign of his deep love for his city.
The passion for graphics and the expressive possibilities derived from it, remains ever-present in the author’s life, which he jots down in his AGENDAS, during his continuous business trips.
Finally, in 2018, the author began to materialise the emotions and suggestions gathered in these notes over more than forty years
