What is a man, still alive, doing among the rubble of devastated houses and equally shattered skyscrapers?
That human being in the midst of a street (or smoldering path) should be dead...

So MISSION FAILED Mr. Commander, unfortunately, there has been a survivor!

What was supposed to be the total annihilation of the human race in the area has turned out to be a failure (for those responsible for this deadly bombing, it will be a tragedy).

In this most hateful image, narrating the scenography of a shocking apocalypse and the shipwreck of civilization, any color that is not the glimmer of the sky is extinguished in the ashes of the "things" burned.

Everything is a mass of dissolved iron and metal and other things that, fortunately for us here, we cannot distinguish, so much is the darkness of the smoke that confuses them and protects our sight.

Cosa ci fa mai, un uomo, ancora vivo, tra le macerie delle devastate case e altrettanto frantumati grattacieli?

Quell'essere umano in mezzo ad una strada (o sentiero fumeggiante) dovrebbe essere morto...

Dunque MISSIONE FALLITA Signor Comandante, c'è purtroppo stato un superstite!

Quella che doveva essere l'annichilimento totale della razza umana nella zona si è rivelata un fallimento (per i responsabili di questo micidiale bombardamento sarà una tragedia).

In questa odiosissima immagine, narrante la scenografia di una apocalissi sconvolgente ed il naufragio della civiltà, qualsiasi colore che non sia il barlume del cielo si spegne nelle "cose" bruciate in cenere. Tutto è un ammasso di ferro e metallo disciolti e di altre cose che, per fortuna di noi, qui, non riusciamo a distinguere tanto è la tenebra del fumo che li confonde e che ci protegge la vista.

Primo piano sull'individuo solitario ripreso di spalle con lo zaino su di queste e tutt'intorno la miseria della città incenerita rasa al suolo.

Scenario di devastazione terribile forse dovuta ad una esplosione atomica nucleare dalle proporzioni colossali e inimmaginabili (dato che in questa creazione fortunatamente di fantasia è rappresentata una porzione soltanto di quanto potrebbe essere stato l'intero globale disastro).

La distruzione di un paese bombardato, di un popolo che l'abitava ed ora è sepolto, sovrasta l'agghiacciante scena.

L'orrore di rottami fumanti incorniciano la tetra e squallida inquadratura sulle rovine. Mentre grosse, grigie nubi tossiche ricadono e si depositano dall'alto dei cieli portandosi dietro il loro carico di veleno radioattivo; malefico fiele, questo che non conosce antidoto, di rilascio di morte nel tempo.

L'uomo è solo sulla scena, come sole sono le cose incenerite delle quali non si avranno più ricordi poiché anche le persone che li avevano già non esisono più.

Ogni cosa è distrutta! E la guerra è fatta!

Ora regni finalmente la pace.

Il paesaggio è desolante, un panorama solitario e apocalittico, e non sappiamo se quell'unico sopravvissuto alla catastrofe sia stato fortunato ad essere rimasto in vita o sia prevista per lui, invece, la visione di un'Inferno in Terra come quotidianetà.

Come qualcosa di naturale, di istintivo, lo vediamo andare verso la luce accompagnato dal suo piccolo zaino.

E' ancora, questo individuo, depositario di una speranza, forse? se non di un residuo coraggio... non lo sapremo mai.

Questa opera fa parte di un set di illustrazioni che io stesso ho creato con l'ausilio dell'intelligenza artificiale e modificato manualmente.

Essa fa parte di una "collezione di immagini abominevoli della guerra" di disegni artistici che desiderano sensibilizzare l'osservatore e l'opinione pubblica su "ciò che sarebbe se..." in base a ciò che è già accaduto per mano dell'uomo.

Perfetta per un quadro che anche senza cornice riuscirebbe sicuramente a suscitare lo spirito di abnegazione e sdegno che ogni persona detiene dentro se stesso.

Adatta, non di meno, alla composizione di un poster o murale che possano lasciare eterno monito alla presente e alle future civiltà che decideranno le sorti di questo e di quegli altri pianeti che ci accingiamo a conquistare.
