Cantù Gentili masterfully plays with painting as a living material: the frayed edges, the overlapping of the glazes, the irregularity of the gesture ensure that the painting is not a static icon, but an organism in progress. Here the mutation is not violent, but subtle, perceptible only if we let ourselves be crossed by the time of vision.
