 Son puntos de referencia que intento no recrear sino explorar creando nuevas formas. Más allá de declaraciones o narraciones, trato de expresar emociones y preguntas que generen en cada espectador su propio significado.

Incursioné en la pintura profesional muy joven, mi carácter rebelde no era compatible con las escuelas de arte. Orientado por Rufino Tamayo y Carlos Mérida, con quienes tuve una relación muy cercana, tomé el camino autodidacta e interdisciplinario.

Con el propósito de ser parte del movimiento de integración plástica, desarrollé una intensa formación cultural y una formación profesional en la arquitectura, el diseño y la escritura.

Mi vida profesional y personal han sido muy satisfactorias, el encierro por la pandemia me confirmó que mi pasión y mi esencia es la pintura.

Hay algo extraordinario en la pintura: nos conecta con las formas más antiguas y elementales de expresión del hombre. Es inevitable la atracción por lo arcano, por nuestras raíces prehispánicas y multiculturales.

Actualmente el alud de información es un gran rompecabezas, un enigma infinito que arroja innumerables puntos de referencia que intento no recrear, comparo las imágenes que se podían ver en el observatorio astronómico de Cananea que diseñé hace años con las del telescopio James Webb, una auténtica máquina del tiempo que capta imágenes a millones de años luz y nos abre una nueva visión cósmica.

Estoy influenciado por Rufino Tamayo, Carlos Mérida. Pedro Coronel y Matías Goeritz, a quienes tuve el privilegio de tratar; por múltiples referencias culturales, pero sobre todo por mi propia experiencia y perspectiva.

Al momento de pintar, brotan símbolos, pensamientos ocultos y colores, una fuerza misteriosa toma el control y me revela resultados insospechados. Es un momento mágico.

Más allá de declaraciones o narrativas mi objetivo es compartir la belleza y la alegría que he experimentado y dejar que inspire a otros, y que genere un significado propio en cada espectador.
