This piece is part of the Umbral collection, which explores states of post-life consciousness where we are confronted by our inner monsters. Once we leave the physical body, our fears, anxieties, anguish, guilt, and unresolved issues have nowhere left to hide, emerging fully exposed, like a skull without skin. The portraits in this collection tell these stories, inviting the viewer to confront their own demons.

The title "Metávasi", which means transition or passage, reflects the journey of internal transformation in search of recovering happy moments. The work addresses the effort required to bring these memories to the surface, lighting the way amid emotional chaos.
"Metávasi" is a visual representation of the transition between forgetting and remembering, from darkness to light. It captures the complexity of the process of retrieving happy thoughts and the emotional impact of this journey. The work invites reflection on the transformative power of memories and the importance of finding inner light, even in moments of uncertainty.

Element Analysis
The Background (Metallic Fog):
Metallic tones represent the constant movement between light and dark, clarity and confusion. The fog indicates a mind in transformation, where memories and thoughts mix and are lost. The metallic tones evoke the preciousness of the moments we try to recover, insinuating that the rescue process is valuable, although uncertain.
Visual Effect: The mixture of gold, copper and bronze provides a feeling of depth and searching, as if the mind is trying to emerge from a state of oblivion.

The Spectral Being:
The central figure, with deep, black eyes, represents identity in transition. The fusion of being with the environment indicates a partial loss of definition, as if oscillating between being and non-being. Dark eyes suggest difficulty in accessing memories, reflecting a state of emotional emptiness or internal search.
The Incomplete Head and the Light: The incomplete part of the head suggests gaps and lost memories, while the light represents hope and optimism. It symbolizes the possibility of bringing to light positive thoughts that, although hidden, still exist. Light is a sign of resilience and the ability to find clarity in the midst of darkness.
