Olha Kizub
Kizub Olha, Painter.
Born in 1968 in Kiev. In childhood, if there was not enough paper or inspiration required other expressive means, I painted on the walls: at the piano, behind carpets.
I started going to the ArtStudio at the DSC at the age of 7 on my own, which surprised the teacher and, especially, my parents. At the age of 13 I entered the school of arts named by Zhukovsky (then school number 6). But I did not enter the art institute - because I was very worried that a little life experience at 17 would not give food for paintings. I received two higher education. Basic - KPI, electrical engineer, red graduate degree and postgraduate study. Fate turned the wheel again, and the years of Perestroika passed in the cooperative movement and the study of philosophy and psychology (St. Petersburg, social psychology).
And in 2000, I suddenly realized that everything was ready to draw. I came to my friend Lena Kirdina (teacher of painting and composition at the institute), she lent me a pair of old brushes and canvases ... After a year, the galleries of Kiev took over my works.
In 2005 The painting "Song of Solveig" won the Grand Prix at the exhibition of young artists of Ukraine, and "Music of Sphears" - People's Choice Award.
In 2007 The first personal exhibition took place in the NEF Gallery, Kyiv-Pechersk`s Lavra.
In 2016 second personal exhibition in the gallery MYTETS, Gallery of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
In 2018 - the third personal exhibition in the gallery HOUSE of PICTURES.
2019 - big personal exhibition in the Museum of Kyiv`s History.
Also I took part in many group exhibitions in different galleries in different years, the paintings were exhibited in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, from 2019 are on permanent exposition at the GAMMA gallery (the best gallery in Kiev according to Vancouver).
In addition to easel painting (mostly oil on canvas), I have also did monumental works: Mediterranean landscapes with a total area of 22.5 sq. m, disco dynamic paintings about 80 sq. m.
My works are in private collections in Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, Hamburg, Berlin, Warsaw, Stocholm, Odessa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Moscow, Riga, Vilnius, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Brovary.
I love to sing, I write poems. I love music very much - many pictures are drawn precisely based on the concerts, symphonies.

Online exclusive art show « Enjoyment of color » by Olha Kizub on Artsy from 23 May to 19 June 2021.
We invite you to visit the online exclusive art exhibition of Olha Kizub " Enjoyment of color" on the Artsy website from May 23 to June 19, 2021.
Olga Kizub was born in 1968 in Kiev. In 2000, after a long search, the artist realized that it was time to devote herself to art. A year later, galleries in Kiev took over her paintings and Olga began an active artistic career.
Olga Kizub's paintings for the “Enjoyment of Color” exhibition were created in a hard time for art, the loklauna. The artist took advantage of the lull to fully immerse herself in the creative process. She created a number of amazing paintings, each of which is fraught with a tender and romantic particle of the artist herself. Olga's work is full of energy. Oily broad strokes fill the paintings with life. Deep and rich color gives aesthetic pleasure. The play of color and light immerses the author in the ideal world, where each image tells its own story.
“For me, no matter how paradoxical it sounds, the corona virus pandemic, to a certain extent, is luck! - Olga Kizub shared her thoughts at the opening of the opening day. - Because it was possible to put aside the cases related to the movements for later. And I plunged into a very serious project, which I will announce a little later. But, most importantly, the "quarantine test" gave me a wonderful opportunity to create without being distracted by secondary life issues. And here it is - the result, my new personal exhibition. I was looking forward to its opening with great impatience. And, despite the postponements associated with the lockdown, the long-awaited opening day took place. Which I am very, very happy about. Because to meet with me and my new works in GAMMA Modern UA Gallery came people whom I love very much and with whom I am sincerely proud of friendship. It is extremely important for me to hear an opinion about these works, to understand what emotions my work awakens in their souls ``.
Olga Kizub's works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, USA, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Turkey.
In 2007, the artist's first personal exhibition was held in the NEF gallery of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In 2016, the second personal exhibition at the MITETS gallery, Gallery of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 2018 - the third personal exhibition at the DOM KARTIN gallery. 2019 - a large personal exhibition at the Museum of the History of Kiev.
Also, over the years, Olga Kizub participated in many group exhibitions in different galleries, paintings were exhibited in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, since 2019 they are on permanent display in the GAMMA gallery (the best gallery in Kiev according to Vancouver).
