"First the notes, then the letters, now the paints". With this aphorism, a friend of mine marked my creative biography. Well, the aphorism is correct: first I received my education as a musicologist, then as an art journalist... But "the paints" in this sequence had to be put forward. After all, as a child, I graduated from art school.
True, for over 20 years I have been hiding this fact… Fortunately, in 2018 I was able to return to painting. Masterclasses, thematic courses, workshops, and intensives with wonderful teachers helped to hone forgotten skills and find their own "voice”.
With this "voice" – as well as the voice of a musicologist and a journalist – I like to confess my love for this world and for its Creator. I am convinced that any person, wherever he lives, can be happy if he fills himself with gratitude for what he has and around him. And my message as an artist is this: there is a lot of things in our life that can bring joy, inspire and delight. And all this is very close, the main thing is to learn to notice.
The favorite subjects of my paintings are landscapes, still lifes, lyrical and funny scenes.
My special passion is Georgia. The culture of this country, before which I sincerely adore, maintains the fire of creativity in me and encourages me to do more and more work. I hope that through them I can infect my viewers with my feelings.
Now my works are kept in private collections in Russia, Australia, Georgia, Armenia. I work as an illustrator for a children's magazine and participate as an artist in various projects and exhibitions.
Since 2022, I have been a member of the international association of artists ASM-club and the Union of Russian Watercolorists.
Budapest, Hungary
In the gallery "Golden Duck" in Budapest (Hungary) there is an international art fair "The Christmas Мiracle". More than 100 artists from Europe and America presented their artistic messages in a variety of styles and techniques, enveloping visitors in a magical holiday atmosphere.
For this exhibition, I presented my watercolor "Still life with chichilaki". 
Chichilaki is a curly "herringbone" carved from walnut, which, according to an old custom, is installed in Georgian houses for the New Year and Christmas.
The grand opening of the art fair "The Christmas Мiracle" took place on December 3 and was not without a pleasant surprise. The owner of the gallery arranged a lottery, and the lucky guest went home with the winning painting!
Parma, Парма, Italia
November 11 in Parma (Italy) opened the international exhibition "Orange Mood". Viewers are presented with 190 authentic works: painting, graphics and more. The main objective of the exhibition is to add bright colors to the darkest time of the year, to create a sunny mood.
My watercolor painting "Autumn Still Life with mushrooms" participates in the exposition. It was inspired by my mother – a lover of picking mushrooms. However, I myself really like to be in the forest. I am especially happy when I find "podosinoviki", as they are called in Russia (Leccinum aurantiacum). I like their velvety red-orange hats and speckled "legs". Well, also pies with these mushrooms are very tasty. :)
