Picture from the series "Borders and Spaces".
We often mistake external nakedness for real openness, hiding the most important things behind impenetrable walls. Does the exterior always reflect the essence? Do we have the courage to reveal the inner fortress? Is the search for harmony between vulnerability and security successful in a world where trust becomes the biggest risk?
This picture reveals a complex dichotomy between apparent openness and hidden internal prohibitions. The naked body here is a metaphor for obvious vulnerability and honesty, which gives the illusion of access to the depths of the personality. However, wooden doors with locks symbolize internal fortresses built from traumas, fears and barriers that do not allow to penetrate the outer shell.
Are we able to let others in through these "doors" that hide our essence, or will we leave them closed, protecting our own world from external challenges? True openness requires great strength, which, unfortunately, we are not always capable of.
My work here is the only copy of my unique and original handiwork.

I was born and live in Kharkov (Ukraine). In my artistic research, I study how people come to understand themselves throughthe manifestation of emotions and feelings, experiencing the outstanding or everyday events of one's life. All,what surrounds us can be a trigger to start the process of self-discovery. At this time Irethinking my life experience, paying attention to the connection between life, historical and emotional processes, inspired by the urban theme as uniquesymbiosis of architecture, time and human life. I am sure that architecture, as one ofof the most important components of our physical and psychological environment, has powerto become a metaphor for our personal change and development. Various architectural forms, spaces and structures can become allegories of our own personality structures. They can reflect our efforts, desires and internal barriers that we overcomethe process of becoming oneself. I use architectural elements to symbolizeour steps forward, discoveries and transitions in life. My paintings offer reflectionover the fact that we build our own lives, as the architects of our destiny, and that we are constantlywe transform and expand, just like the architectural forms that surround us.
