This emotional and vivid artwork symbolizes the renewal in human life after disasters. I chose the Flood as a metaphor for the idea of renewal. I deliberately used pure contrasting colors that made the surface of the canvas glow and shaped the inner depth of the painting. In addition to free wide strokes, I used the smudge and splatter technique. Multicolored drops and smudges remind the viewer of the power of water as a natural force. The black elements in the painting are reminiscent of tree crowns and roots. They create additional drama in the artwork.
