I found inspiration for this artwork in the most ordinary things - a rainy morning, drops on the glass, the landscape outside my window. Distortion of the contours of objects through wet glass is one of my favorite themes in art. This time, I conveyed the color harmony of early late autumn, but also transferred drops and smudges to the surface of the canvas. I added paint layer by layer combining shades of gray, ocher and dark olive. Gradually the canvas surface became a reflection of the trees and houses outside my window. I continued to work on the painting, added fine lines and strokes, and also worked in the smudge technique.
I tried to create a harmonious and soothing art object and I think that I got it.
