The painting symbolizes long-forgotten memories. Many people write personal diaries during their school years. They write down important and unimportant events, memories of first love, travels and calm youthful everyday life. It is very gratifying to find such diaries in adulthood. They bring back memories of the past and bring a pleasant feeling of nostalgia.
The artist who painted this work was inspired by warm and nostalgic notes about his youth. The painting is dominated by shades of beige and light gray, dark black and white, symbolizing the changeable views of a teenager writing a personal diary.
The canvas also shows the subtle outlines of written in the diary, which depict moments dissolving in the past, that warm the soul.
