For A Reason (2017) Painting by Henny Latul

Henny Latul is a Landscape Painter and a Digital Art maker based in the Netherlands. Her semi abstract landscapes are inspired by light, space and silence. Painting is her way of meditation. She creates silent and brooding sceneries. While doing so she always manages to convey a fragility and warmth by her unique use of colours. She paints mainly intuitive. Each painting is a journey to an unknown destination. In addition to her landscape paintings she makes digital landscapes. She uses images of her paintings and merges them with her landscape photography in order to create her moody landscapes.

Henny Latul studied Textile Art and English at the Teacher Training College, SOL and Fashion Design at the Utrecht Academy of Fine Arts, HKU. After her studies she worked as a Fashion Designer for several Fashion Brands and Retail Companies. While working as a designer she more and more discovered feeling a lack of creative freedom in her work for the Fashion Industry.  In 2012 she starts painting and drawing again, resulting a few years later, in a new career as a painter.

Her work can be found with collectors in The Netherlands, Germany, UK and USA.
