Nuwan Darshana

Nuwan Darshana is a Sri Lankan artist born in 1987 and is a painter by profession. He always had the ambition and desire to be a world famous artist and he has been working towards developing his artistic skills from his small days. He was a self taught artist who started with scribbling with various mediums on any surface, he could get his hands on, from the age of 4.

Nowadays he mainly uses acrylic on canvas medium. People and landscapes play an important part in his creations and he uses a combination of these elements in creating his pieces with so much skill. These elements allow him to create a narrative and find a flow through the images he create. He believes that using people and landscapes not only improves his technique as an artist, but they have enabled him to better understand his subject matter and use this to create more realistic work.
