Noël PASQUIER, born in 1941, lives and works in Paris and Brittany. Study: Decorative Arts (Paris) and National School of Fine Arts (Paris). He explored the connection of the arts, created a Total Art festival and produced numerous multidisciplinary performances - notably with the choreographer Carolyn Carlson - painting/music, painting/reading, such as during the "Spring of Poets" at the National Museum of Modern Art Center Pompidou in front of 500 spectators. His visuals have illuminated the Grand le Palais in Paris, the Maison de la Radio (Telethon), and in Corsica the citadel of Calvi for the Festival du Vent. From the monumental work to the small format, he explores multiple mediums, canvas, textile, paper, bronze, marble, ceramics, glass. In 1972, he produced a set of wall sculptures in Carrara marble on two levels of the Montparnasse Tower (collection of the Société Générale. Due to work, part of these monumental works were donated in 2012 to the Musée de Cambrai and has become a 'national treasure'. In terms of public art: frescoes for a district of Suresnes (4000m²) in 1980, a mural at the TGV station in Rennes in 1982, works for several French embassies , Stockholm, Sidney, Hong-Kong...) monumental sculptures including those of the highways of the South of France. He has exhibited on five continents, and regularly in New York and China.
He has exhibited regularly in New York, London, Tokyo, Budapest, São Paolo, Tel Aviv, Beirut, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Korea at the Seoul Museum at the M.Y Foundation, Germany, in Italy... In 1995, an exhibition at the Musée National de la Marine in Paris, La Monnaie de Paris in 1998/99 and the Musée de La Poste in 2003 devoted important retrospectives to him. He illustrated many literary and poetic works. His engraved work is deposited at the BNF, Paris and at the Public Library, NY...
This vision led him to associate his art with the image of companies, by creating logos, in particular for Société Générale, for the Fondation de France, the Printemps des Poètes trophies. He was a survivor of the attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York; Since then, he has voluntarily led plastic art workshops with sick children at the Robert-Debré University Hospital.
Noël Pasquier was a friend of Serge Gainsbourg and Philippe Léotard; its creation is shared. A graduate in Art History, a graduate of the ENSAD Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the ENSBA Beaux-Arts in Paris, he is a Knight in the National Order of Arts and Letters. Since 2006, the association “Autour de Noël Pasquier”, equipped with an orientation and steering committee, has endeavored to publicize and perpetuate his work.
