Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" is a classic example of realism.

Charcoal portrait drawing of my beautiful friend and fashion model "Mariette" of Indian origin. The focus of my drawing is on capturing the expression in her eyes.


Drawing is signed in the corner and at the back. Drawing is done in Nitram charcoal on, 100% cotton rag, ARCHIVAL that is mounted to acid free paper to enable framing. It does not come with frame or displayed accessories in the images.

With it you will receive signed by me Certificate of Authenticity.


The materials used in the painting are best in class, make it a collectible, made to last for decades to come.



Each painting is packaged in a protective, acid-free sleeve and shipped in a flat cardboard mailer; shipping with registered airmail with tracking number.

Samiksha Gupta is a contemporary Indian artist and portrait painter.  Samiksha's paintings reflect the influences of 19th Century Realism. She is part of a new movement of artists across the world working in classical painting methods and practices, while staying true to a contemporary aesthetic. Using the alla prima (wet-into-wet) technique promoted by these movements, her work pays tribute to the brushwork finesse of such artists as John Singer Sargent, Sorolla, Anders Zorn, and other modern classical painters.
