Nina Lorkovic is a contemporary visual artist with Serbian-Croatian roots, born in Germany. Her work focuses on inner movement, emotional thresholds, and the quiet tension between visibility and withdrawal. While earlier works focused on female presence, recent paintings begin to explore male identities with equal emotional depth and ambiguity, expanding her investigation of human expression and inner space.
Her artistic perspective is informed by more than 20 years of experience in media design as well as a cosmopolitan life journey. Extended stays in Los Angeles, New York, London, India, Morocco, Israel, and the West Bank have shaped her sensitivity to cultural nuance, physical presence, and emotional ambiguity.
Earlier in her career, she founded a sustainable fashion label, where material, form, and social consciousness converged. Her work was featured in Perspective Magazine (Hong Kong), an internationally recognized platform for contemporary design culture – a formative bridge between her design sensibility and her visual language in painting.
