Nikolai Taidakov is a contemporary Russian painter based in Munich, Germany. His work merges a deep respect for the millennia-old philosophy of art with a personal quest for creative freedom, resulting in compositions that offer innovative interpretations of traditional themes. Taidakov’s art is marked by a distinctively personal style, expressive richness, and the ability to evoke profound shifts in the viewer’s mood, perceptions, and sensations. His paintings are celebrated for their originality and unmistakable recognizability.
Taidakov studied at the Academy of Architecture in Novosibirsk, earning his diploma in 1977. He served as a lecturer at the academy until 1982 and pursued full-time postgraduate studies in Moscow from 1983 to 1985. In 1985, he founded his own company in Moscow, specializing in museum construction, interior design, and design, which he led until 1991.
Since 1992, Taidakov has lived and worked in Munich. He became a member of the BBK and the International Fine Arts Society (IGBK) in 1993. In 2004, he founded and chaired the Society of Artists "EuroKunstWerkstatt e.V.," and in 2006, he co-founded ART Galerie N. Taidakov & S. Volkov. Through his contributions, Taidakov has left a lasting impact on the European art scene while maintaining his roots in Russian artistic tradition.
