From his youth until today, NIGAMI has been passionate about photography. He first learned the profession of advertising designer in a fashion house. He then completed an art degree at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences from October 1970 to July 1974, with a one-year basic apprenticeship with Oskar Holweck, three years of graphic design with Robert Sessler and a photography course with Gerhard Heisler. He received his degree as a designer. This was followed by many years of work as an art director in advertising, with a focus on fashion. Committed to the commission, his subjects always serve to promote sales. As a personal compensation for this work, NIGAMI now creates pictures, free from the pressure of commission, which only speak for themselves. These images do not follow fashion trends, templates or common patterns and are in no way intended to simply please. The computer, photo laboratory and painting palette at the same time, is used specifically or experimentally. He combines impressions, images and objects to create visions. The sources of inspiration are the incredible and unreal elements of “reality”. NIGAMI's image creations are correspondingly multifaceted.

His works open imaginary windows that invite both contemplation and introspection. Interpretation takes precedence over visual recognition.

Commercial exploitation was never a priority. In fact, the artist wants to present a diverse selection of his works here with the aim of sharing his artistic vision.
