Born on the 11th of June 1976 in Heilbronn/Germany, Nicole Schwarz moved with her parents to Trier, Germany’s oldest town (founded by Roman emperor Augustus) in 1981. She began painting, drawing, and writing in her early school years. As a teenager her talent was recognized by her art teacher, who put her in a classfor advanced students. There she discovered her talent in sculpturing with clay and soapstone. It was a happy experience to get acceptance for her work. When her art teacher left school suddenly and the class for advanced students was dissolved Nicole underwent a crisis. The new teachers had little interest in the support of their students. Although Nicole loved art and the creative process, the negative impact both from her teachers and her family, made her almost lose her creative energy.
For several years thereafter she stopped painting. The next few years she finished school and began work as an optometrist. In 2003 she returned to Heilbronn where her creative life was slowly restored and she began to paint again. With her creative energy restored she started to paint in acryl on canvas and cardboard and also experimented with different styles and techniques.
During that period she discovered her love of photography, mostly in black and white. It was revealed as a hidden talent. Nicole likes to explore new artistic experiences of different kinds in various mediums… influenced by her travels and the countries she’s been to.
