"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. I have always been fascinated by church architecture, it is so fulfilling to watch and to contemplate, I even bought a book about it.
For my today’s design, I tried to mix between two eras :
- Gothic Architecture, which was between the late 12th to the 16th century. You can find it in the sketch with the three pointy pillars at the center of the church, presented from each side. You can find it also in the many vault layers at the top.
- Art Nouveau, which was between the late 18th century, and the beginning of the 19th. You can find it in the sketch with the big rounded external vault, and the two exterior pillars from each side.
I kept it simple yet elegant, it is amazing how few lines can make the sketch come to reality.
As for the materials, I'm thinking of fiber-reinforced concrete for casting the pillars and the vaults.
At the center facade, a huge stained glass with a cross, which I made with modern ornaments.

Nicolas Chammat, born in 1986 and living in France, is a versatile artist specializing in drawing and digital art. He uses various mediums such as marker on cardboard, graphite on cardboard, pencil on cardboard, watercolor on cardboard and watercolor on paper to create his works.
