Nektar Balian Bahaderian est née en 1960 à Erévan en Arménie.
Enfant, c'est en observant les pierres sculptées, précisément à Dvin (ancienne capitale d'Arménie fondé au IV-e siècle) qu'elle sent l'envie de faire de la sculpture. Plus tard, elle fréquente l'atelier de dessin de L. Nercessian: professeur de l'Université Pédagogique d' Erévan.
Sa famille revient en France en 1974. Elle fait de la peinture en autodidacte jusqu'en 1999, puis suit des cours de dessin, modelage, sculpture, peinture, céramique et d'histoire de l'art à l'EMAP de Garges- lès- Gonesse et sous la direction de Claire Morère: historienne de l'art.
Ses thèmes préférés sont la condition humaine, la societé actuelle, l'actualité, la géopolitique, la nature, l'espace et les éléments, et bien-sûr ses racines.
