I painted these two camellias in small touches, much like the Impressionists did but with a contemporary look.
When we approach the work seems abstract, it reveals itself by taking a step back.
I apply on the canvas every pixel-touch to the acrylic with small beforehand cut cubes of polystyrene.

Nathalie Si Pié, a contemporary French artist, embarked on her artistic journey after attaining the National Diploma of Arts and Techniques (DNAT). Her initial foray into constructed abstraction marked the beginning of a pictorial exploration that has since evolved to encompass diverse perspectives, notably through figuration.
One distinctive facet of Si Pié's artistic approach is her pixelated technique. By appropriating pixels, the fundamental components of digital images, the artist delves into an exploration of perception. She imparts texture to her canvases using small cubes of polystyrene, meticulously cut and coated with acrylic paint. This pixelated application creates a unique visual experience that engages the viewer in a dialogue with figurative elements. The resulting impression is sensitive, offering a spectrum of abstraction that varies depending on the viewer's distance from the artwork.
Nathalie Si Pié's artistic evolution encapsulates a harmonious interplay between constructed abstraction and pixelated figuration, showcasing her ability to synthesize diverse elements into a cohesive and engaging visual language.
