The soft colors and movement of forms capture a deep introspection and personal transformation. It is an invitation to embrace the complexity of our own journey, symbolized by the enveloping gestures of the figure and the vaporous tones that dot the painting. This painting will bring a touch of reflection and gentle energy into any living space. BASCULO is the portrait of a woman in a flesh-colored dress, she is standing in front of an abstract landscape evoking the sea and the sky. Submerged, the figure is swooning, ready to topple, the background immerses her. The tail evokes nature, the feeling of returning to the natural world. The bottom of the dress is deliberately flared into a cone, which gave rise to the name basculo.

Nathalie Pirotte is a contemporary artist born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and currently residing in Brussels, Belgium. After studying painting at Parsons in New York and earning a Master's degree in painting and 3D research from ENSAV La Cambre in 1989, she pursued a professional career as an artist and painting teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arlon and Marche, Belgium.

Her representative galleries include Husk Gallery and Emilie Dujat in Brussels, Bertrand Gillig in Strasbourg, Toxic Art in Luxembourg, and B Eck in Munich.
