A graduate in Visual Arts from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts ALBA, Nadine Fayad Comair keeps as a souvenir of her native Lebanon, these shades of Mediterranean blue that follow her all the time and that she cannot do without.
Having worked for many years in the press, she has taken up her brushes again since she moved to Nice on the Côte d'Azur. "The beauty of the landscapes, she says, and this omnipresent light inspire me again to express myself on canvas. When words fail, color takes its place to fight against time, express one's feelings and give free rein to one's imagination. Acrylic and mixed media are my favorite techniques at the moment."
With an abstract brush that does not seem to detach itself from reality, the artist paints the marine world, sailboats, but also cities, characters... A certain state of mind that suggests an invitation to travel and escape, bathing in whirlwinds of colors as if to glue together pieces of shattered dreams. A painting that appeals to the imagination, but above all to the sensations, while keeping this joyful spirit despite everything, like a challenge to get up while keeping hope.
Nadine Fayad Comair has succeeded in creating in a purely artistic language and imbued with originality, creativity, shapes, lines, subtle contrasts and harmonious colors, a world with flamboyant horizons that is part of her reality. The artist has a very strong chromatic sensitivity where the nuances of colors are constantly vibrating. Blue and light undoubtedly dominate her palette and are reflected in her love of the sea and travel.
Her works are featured in several private collections and have been exhibited in several galleries in Paris, Beirut, Saudi Arabia and the United States, among others.
A revealing universe of an artist who has not said her last word and who continues to amaze us.
