At the Superior School of Stained Glass and Creation, Myriam Ferrer studied the art of stained glass. Her biggest pleasure, which she executes in her private life are water colors and mosaics, in which she is self-taught.
It has been years since she has left her native Anniviers. She lives at present in Savièse, Switzerland, where she and her husband bought a small house in St-Germain. Since she realizes that her 2 little girls are their most beautiful creations, her other creations are in the form of sculptures. Her inspiration is born through scenes of daily life, by cutting some wood, at random, she says. However, Myriam likes in particular the style of Maya, which she reproduces in surprising details. At first her sculptures were made from wood of the boxwood tree, now she shapes her pieces out of clay, which is much more moldable and allows her above all to rest her frail wrists. She brings life to the most unusual subjects. It's necessary to see the images.
For all my bases I work with my husband Alexandre.
