Marian William is a contemporary Dutch artist known for her innovative approach to recycling objects, authentic photos, and original illustrations from vintage magazines and books. In her creative process, she transforms these materials into dynamic and striking analog compositions using paint, collage, and assemblage techniques.

Throughout her career, Marian's art has been exhibited in numerous countries, including France, England, the Netherlands, Italy, Albania, Serbia, and the USA. Her works bear the influences of pop art, surrealism, and dadaism, resulting in pieces that exude originality and freshness. In her artwork, she skillfully combines elements of classical art, retro chic, and kitsch in a thought-provoking and challenging manner.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Marian William is also recognized for her deep commitment to various social and political causes. Her art frequently revolves around themes such as environmental preservation, women's rights, freedom, and social justice. These recurring themes are conveyed in her storytelling, which ranges from minimalist to complex, with a sincere and impactful approach.

Marian's artistic journey began at an early age, driven by a profound connection to the past. At the age of five, she found herself jumping into a bin at school, determined to rescue discarded schoolbooks from the 1950s. These books held immense value to her, with their precious images, distinctive lettering, torn pages, vivid colors, and the nostalgic memories they evoked. For Marian, these artifacts served as a window into the history of everyday life gone by, inspiring her lifelong creative exploration.

Marian William's art reflects not only her remarkable talent but also her unwavering dedication to addressing critical issues through her work. Her ability to weave together the past, present, and a hopeful vision for the future in her art is a testament to her unique artistic vision and her commitment to making a meaningful impact on the world.
