Introduced and initiated as a young child to drawing, painting and sculpture in my great-grandfather’s workshop, and after several years of graphic design studies and artistic training, I’ve eventually and definitely opted for painting. Later, I decided to introduce my creations to the public and exhibited for the first time in 1989.

Since 2005, I compose my paintings on computer. They are intended to be projected et reproduced on flat surfaces (walls, wood…) by adjusting the dimensions and the technic to the support.

I also work, since 2020, on softwares dedicated to 3D sculpture such as Zbrush and Blender. Soon, I will present my creations to the public.

In the end, if I had to describe my artistic approach in only three words, I’d choose : concept, aesthetic and technic.

The concept :

It is the core element of my work. My creativity as well as my approach of art cannot be dissociated from a deep reflection regarding our society but also the place that takes the human kind in it and the role played by human beings. Their difficulties, their hopes, their loneliness, their living conditions, their confrontations to others as well as to their environment are the main recurrent themes of my paintings.

These themes are meshed in series that intertwine each other, follow each other and that are refining themselves all along the years and through my experiences. The human condition - a fragile element living in an environment often hostile - is declined in my paintings through the primary elements, the nature, the animals and the others. Its end is cruel, often degrading and sometimes violent.

 The aestheticism :

I seek it in the strength of symbols (checkerboard, trees, rats, tourbillons, distortions…) and in the violence or the dissonance of the colours expressing the feeling of confinement, the endless fight to escape. It’s a key for an interpretation of my work in its wholeness and throughout the time.

I consider that every creation has to arouse a reflexion, an emotion to the spectator as much by the topic expressed as by its representation.

 The technic :

I’m always working instinctively and simultaneously :

On refined geometrical shapes with large surfaces of pure colours and checkerboard. With knife by mashing the material in its thickness and by sculpting the layers. On computer in order to create some transparencies and perspectives by refining and blending the coloured transitions.
