Origine 100% Sud Ouest, Mona est née à Bordeaux. Rien ne la prédestinait à une carrière artistique et ce sont des études tout ce qu'il y a de plus classiques qu'elle a effectuées, ne fréquentant ni école spécialisée, ni cours de dessin. Cependant, Sa passion lui est venue très tôt et c’est depuis son plus jeune âge qu’elle dessine, peint, croque tous les sujets qui l’inspirent, l’émeuvent ou la choquent…
« Elle est née avec un pinceau dans une main et un crayon dans l’autre » dit-on d’elle.
Totalement autodidacte, les conseils avisés de quelques amis peintres l’ont aidée et encouragée à participer à des expos fructueuses pour elle.
Elle trouve, à travers ses créations, une joie intense qu’elle aime faire partager à ceux qui les apprécient. Mais, comme elle le dit elle-même, ses toiles sont sans prétention :
« je peins comme je respire : instinctivement. La peinture est mon bol d’oxygène, la nature est ma source d’inspiration, ma palette, le reflet de ce que voient mes yeux et mon cœur, mes pinceaux sont les meilleurs moyens d’exprimer ce que je ressens»… Et, de temps en temps, il lui vient l’idée d’illustrer une toile avec un poème… ou l’inverse !
