Cemented sheets, hand painted with gold and dipped in resin. The archetype of Puer Aeternus (in Latin "eternal child, divine") derives from a god of antiquity, subsequently identified with Dionysus and Eros. He is the god of youth, of life, of resurrection after death, of renewal. In Jungian analytical psychology this definition is attributed to a male personality who, in adulthood, still has the characteristics of adolescence and too strong a dependence on the mother. It manifests itself, on the negative side, as a refusal to assume responsibility, on the positive side, instead, it awakens the creative resources and the capacity for renewal of the psyche.

Mauro Lacqua lives and works in Pavia and Milan.

He started pursuing his innate call for visual arts in early childhood and learned the very first painting techniques from Mimmo Canonico, the teacher who used to tell life stories about fascinating landscapes and experiences of endogenous nostalgia. Lacqua went on and mastered various painting techniques and tendencies at the Civica Scuola di Arti Visive in Pavia and, owing to Monica Anselmi for whom artistic work implies a vocational choice and approaching art as a vocation, he has opted for expressive techniques and support media like cement and recycled materials which are to a great extent in harmony with his inclinations and sensibility. He exhibited his works in many prestigious events, that have led him to travel between Beijing, Paris Lisbon and a lot of small and big Italian cities, where the criticism has always greeted he with warm enthusiasm.
