Mine Palayer, born Monique Palayer on September 18, 1952, in Bourg-de-Toll, Drôme, is a contemporary French artist who has lived and worked in Gard since 2014. She studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Lyon from 1973 to 1979 and, after winning a competition, moved to a residence in Paris where she spent 15 years participating in numerous biennials and international fairs.
From 1983 to 1985, Mine studied oriental painting and calligraphy under master Ung No Lee at his academy. In 1990-91, she worked at the Intaglio press in the Olaf Idali Workshop and later became a professor of drawing and engraving at the workshops of the city of Paris (1991-1995). During this time, she collaborated with Pierre Mrejen of "Editions of the Free Roller" to produce five artist books.
In 1993, the birth of her daughter prompted a pause in her engraving work as she moved to Ardèche. From 2003 to 2006, she joined the AZ'Arts collective, organizing numerous exhibitions. Since 2006, Mine has continued to exhibit her work in Ardèche, Haute Loire, and Gard, where she currently resides.
