1966 - Born (Kyiv region, Ukraine). 1988-1992 - Studied at the Kyiv Institute of Decorative and Applied Art and Design named after M. Boychuk. 1992-1998 - Practicing in the creative workshop of Ukayan graphic artists Vasyl and Paraska Kolomiyko (Ukraine). 1995 - First personal exhibition. (Kyiv, Ukraine). 1997 - In cooperation with the musician Serhii Bilousov, creates the music album "Back to the nature" Back to nature, (Kyiv, Ukraine). 2003-2005 - Participant of exhibitions within the framework of the Eurografik project. MTG – Kraków, Most Integracji Europejskiej Kultury. (Kyiv, Moscow, Oldenburg, Krynytsia, Leipzig). In cooperation with writers Yuriy Shinkarenko, Yuriy Sadovskyi, Mykhailo Karasyov, designs the books "Lom", "Drop", "Times of Svarog", (Obuhiv Ukraine). M. Samofalov's artworks have found their place in different countries of the world, they are in the collection of the International Center for Graphic Arts Krakow, (Poland).
