Michael J. McDonough was born in New Jersey in 1985. Most of his lifetime has been spent in Rockland County, N.Y. Art has been a constant part of Michael's life. At age five, he only drew in black and brown marker or crayon. As he grew, so did his art. After obtaining an associates degree in fine arts from Rockland Community College, Michael went on to study at New Paltz State University of New York. Surrounded by the wilderness beauty of upstate New York, Michael continued his artist career. In 2009, he graduated with a B.F.A and he now continues his work at his studio in Garnerville, New York. Most of Michael's artwork represents the stages of spirituality and the growth of human conciousness. His own personal growth has inspired his art, as well as his relationships with those who cross his path.
