"Votre âme est un paysage choisi
Que vont charmant masques et bergamasques
Jouant du luth et dansant et quasi
Tristes sous leurs déguisements fantasques."
Les deux femmes sont masquées. La dame de droite suit des yeux son spectateur tandis que l'autre promène son regard rêveur de la couleur des nuages.
En arrière plan, une autre femme, un doigt sur la bouche évoque le mystère dans une couleur chaude de fête.

It is difficult to create: you have to give yourself permission to enter a space of infinite freedom. Among these infinite possibilities, make choices, test, research.

I am taking my first steps in this new space: I like the colors, the graphic lines, the astonishing effects of acrylic, this painting where chance must be mastered in order to reproduce its effects, I like the smoothness of oil painting, its soft satin, its faded effects. Everything fascinates me, I paint, I spray, I scratch, I wear out the canvas, I erase, I cover, I test variations on my computer.

I remain in the figurative with a few forays into the abstract. Painting, for me, is not pleasure, it is an urgent desire given my age, all the more profound as it has long been held back by my professional life. However, painting gives me moments of happiness when a harmony of form or color suddenly appears, and when, finally after 6 months, I can sign this painting that seems so simple, so natural, made without effort.

After 11 sabbatical years spent in Spain, I often feel nostalgia for its perfumes, its music and dances, its palm trees, the sweetness of the nights. All these impressions surface in certain paintings, las señoritas del abanico, luna flamenca, corner of a garden in Moraira, Alcalali, the daughters of Aeolus. However, when the painting represents Venice or Japan, a common thread persists: the woman, the lace, the fan in an atmosphere of sensuality and mystery.

When people tell me that some of my paintings convey well-being and serenity, I am delighted and it encourages me to continue doing good in my own way.

My training,

I am self-taught but I was immersed in art

- My father, an artist and photographer by trade, from a family where everyone had " did the fine arts, taught me that it was not ridiculous to spend hours drawing or sculpting, that the human body obeyed proportions that had to be known before breaking them, that mythology is a source of inspiration to be interpreted in one's own way,

-     Internet, a precious source of diverse techniques, of painters of all styles. I take advantage of this platform to thank these volunteer trainers of the net.
