France is a painter deeply rooted in her native land, Saint-Raphaël, where she draws inspiration for her creations. Her artistic approach is guided by a relentless quest for inner truth, expressed through the breath of feeling and matter. For her, the act of creating is a belief, a fundamental vocation that transcends simple artistic gestures to touch the very essence of existence.
Holder of a diploma in interior architecture obtained after studying at the Beaux-Arts, France has devoted more than twenty years to teaching visual arts in middle and high schools. This teaching experience enriches and deepens her artistic practice, making her a passionate mediator of art and creativity.
In 2012, a tragedy turned her life upside down: a fire ravaged her house, taking with it all her possessions and, tragically, all her works. This disaster, which left her life in suspense, plunged France into emptiness and darkness. This irreparable loss, far from destroying her, became a powerful catalyst for a new phase of her artistic work.
In 2013, France began to exorcise this tragedy through photography, capturing the remains of her works reduced to ashes and charred objects. These images became the foundation of her new creations, a new palette that nourishes her current artistic expression. She transformed this ordeal into a process of mourning and renewal, where destruction becomes the fertile ground for an artistic renaissance.
Today, France’s work is imbued with this resilience and emotional depth. Her works, informed by tragedy and reconstruction, explore the beauty of human resilience and the power of creation in the face of loss. Each piece is a meditation on matter, memory, and transformation, inviting the viewer into an intimate and poignant reflection on the cycle of life and art.
