Sheikh Mujibur Rahman(March 17, 1920 – August 15, 1975) was a Bengali politician and statesman who was the founding leader of Bangladesh. He headed the "Awami League (Political Party)" and served as the first President of Bangladesh, and later as Prime Minister.

He is popularly referred to as "Sheikh Mujib (shortened as Mujib or Mujibur, not Rahman)", with the honorary title of Bangabandhu ("Friend of Bengal"), and widely revered in Bangladesh as the "Father of the Nation".

I am Md Saidul Islam, a passionate digital artist from Bangladesh. I've been completely enthralled by painting and art ever since I was a child. The way colors come together, the way a simple brushstroke can create something magical, it's like stepping into a world where imagination knows no bounds.

For me, it surpasses all other interests and is more than just a pastime. Art has shaped who I am and given me a platform for self-expression and wholehearted delight. It serves as both an escape and sanctuary for me, fueling my never-ending exploration and artistic endeavors.

I've always had a tremendous urge to portray the true essence of significant Bangladeshi leaders in my paintings. My primary focus has been on portraying two revered figures who hold great significance for our nation: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,  the architect of independent Bangladesh, and the renowned founding father of our nation. And the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Their remarkable impact and leadership have inspired me to depict their strength and vision through my artistic creations.

I started sketching portraits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 2011, which was the start of my artistic journey. My works didn't start to gain more attention until 2013 when I bravely posted my creations to the Deviant Art Gallery. The positive response and encouragement I received fueled my determination to continue this artistic exploration.

I made a big step forward in 2018 when I took on the challenging task of portraying the honored Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Her role as an ambassador of peace, a visionary leader, and a beacon of hope deeply inspired me. Through my paintings, I aim to honor her remarkable qualities and the enduring impact she has on our nation.

It gives me great joy to see how my artworks have been incorporated into both the online and offline campaigns of Bangladesh's largest political party, the "Bangladesh Awami League." It humbles me to know that my creations have touched the lives of countless individuals, even if my name remains unknown to them.

I really believe that art has the ability to change people and break down boundaries.  That is why I choose to share my artwork freely, without charging a fee. Under the Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial No Derivative Works 3.0 License, I invite everyone to experience the emotions and stories captured in my paintings.
