Wilhelm Rümann (1884-1975) was a German painter of landscapes who, as a dedicated adorer of Switzerland, focused on Swiss landscapes: lake, mountains, the city of Zurich and it's environments, where he lived for some years. He followed the "classic" technique of impressionistic painting of landscapes. The painter transformed landscape into structures with concentrated, dense and vivid realisation of colour.
He is mentioned in the Swiss Künstlerlexikon ( Swiss encyclopaedia of artists) of 1917.
Expositions: Kunsthalle in Bern, Kunsthaus in Zurich, Galerie Neupert in Zurich and many others in Munich and Berlin.
Painting is framed. With black wooden box tape frame, glass and passe-partout.
