Maryam Zarei
From an early age, I found comfort in the quiet language of colors. Between the ages of five and seven, I began learning the fundamentals of drawing with colored pencils, intuitively observing the world around me. Over time, I shifted from imitation to expression, turning everyday moments into deeply personal visual stories.
At the age of 23, I entered the world of acrylic painting—self-taught and inspired by online tutorials. This marked a pivotal transformation in my creative journey. I began to explore mixed media and the poetic possibilities of combining texture, layers, and symbolism. My work often reflects emotional echoes, silence, memory, and the fragile boundaries between presence and absence.
Through each painting, I aim to express what cannot be said—what is sensed, remembered, or dreamed. My art is not just about what is seen, but what is felt beyond the surface. Creating art is, for me, a slow and intuitive act of connecting with life and inner truth.
