Martun a travaillé au studio de films télévisés "Erevan"; dans l'édition principale de programmes dramatiques à Erevan, aux studios de cinéma "Hayfilm" et "Hayk" et au centre national du film de la RA (Respublic of Armenia). 

Auteur de : 

"Club" (1989) : court-métrage documentaire renommé par la suite "Dernier Film Soviétique". "Club" a été tourné pendant les années soviétiques. La participation du film aux festivals internationaux de films a été interdite.  

"The Shelter" (2009) : court-métrage documentaire, projeté au Festival de Cannes. En 2009, le film "The Shelter" a été projeté au Festival de Cannes et a remporté un prix spécial. 

"Collines" (2000) : petit recueil de nouvelles.
