Meine Arbeiten aus der Serie DIRTY SILK stellen eine moderne Verbindung von Kunst, Grafik, Struktur und Schnitt dar.

In dieser Serie arbeite ich auf Leinwand, auf der sich eine grob aufgetragene Acrylschicht befindet. Die Grundlage ist bewusst gezeichnet von Spuren und Artefakten.

Darauf arbeite ich mit einem Hauch von Papier (daher der Name DIRTY SILK), das, sowohl den Untergrund durchscheinen lässt, als auch eine einzigartige, kartographische Oberfläche bildet.
Alles gemeinsam wird mit einem leichten seidenmatten Glanz überzogen.

So setzte ich bewusst einen Kontrapunkt zu digitalem Design und digitaler Kunst.

Mir geht es um die tatsächliche Verbindung des Betrachters mit dem Moment der Entstehung einer Arbeit:
Ausgeprägte Spuren des Entstehungsprozesses sind Merkmale dieses Moments.

Es geht darum, von der groben Struktur bis zu den feinen Details,
die Schönheit im Unvollkommenen zu finden und sie bewußt in meine Arbeit einzubetten.
Die oft grafische Formgebung bildet dabei ein wichtiges Gegengewicht
und schafft ein interessantes Spannungsverhältnis.
Zusätzlich hat sie die Funktion, die strukturgeprägten Inhalte in einen klaren Rahmen zu fassen.
