Martial Dumoulin is a Swiss artist who lives in Verbier, a charming resort in the Bagnes Valley.After training in the culinary field, he chose to reorient himself. He fell in love with music by joining a local rock band, while working in commerce without forgetting his love for art. Since childhood, he has been passionate about pictorial art.He always felt a strong affinity with artistic painting. It was in the 80s that he enrolled in drawing and painting classes to learn techniques and styles. He acquired the basics of watercolor and oil by participating in workshops with different masters.He was fascinated by symbolism and surrealism, two artistic currents which explore the unconscious and the dream. His works are original and mysterious, as he uses unusual images and unexpected associations.Martial is a versatile artist who has explored different styles and techniques.He notably practiced abstract art, which allows him to express himself without constraints or limits. He also used acrylic paint, which offers a wide variety of colors and textures.His work reflects his quest for a new freedom and a new escape in the art world.Painting in oil and with a palette knife is his favorite technique. It allows him to create material and relief effects. It requires a good mastery of the gesture and the dosage of color.
