Feeling like an artist since she was already a child, Marlène Chauveau feeds on moments of life. An only and solitary girl, she begins by reproducing reality, drawing inspiration from what surrounds her: faces, postures, objects, landscapes,... found in her daily life, exercising her hand, which she draws in the margins of his class notebooks.
Then, growing up and better assuming her personality, she lets herself go to her imagination, listening to her emotions and using drawing to evacuate and move forward. She uses these sketches to create in order to share her feelings.
His perfectionism encourages him to think that the culmination of a work is the successful result of a thoughtful artistic process. She creates in a methodological way, being very attached to immersing herself in the subjects she tackles with precision. She knows how to be flexible and attentive while being uncompromising in her values.
His style twirls through naive art, conceptual illustration, realism and surrealism. Inspired by artists like Enki Bilal and Salvador Dalí, Marlène draws her ideas from her life reflections stemming from her experiences.
Marlène Chauveau chose to illustrate her vision, using watercolor in her own way. Layer by layer and taking the time, she uses her senses to put forward her thoughts.
